Your New Job

The position of municipal lawyer involves working in a multifaceted organization and places high demands on the ability to quickly understand various legal issues, both broadly and in depth; which requires flexibility and independence. You will provide legal advice to the municipality's committees/administrations, municipal associations, and municipal companies. Among other things, you will submit opinions to the court and represent the municipality in court, as well as prepare, assess, and ensure the quality of various types of agreements.

In this recruitment, it is particularly meritorious if you have worked with dispute resolution and are experienced in litigation, but the work also involves providing advice and support on all types of legal issues that arise within a municipality. It is an advantage if you have a strong interest in social issues and find it stimulating to work in a politically governed organization. The ability to collaborate with different professions and gather multiple perspectives will be important, as will the ability to switch between different cases and take on new questions at short notice. We expect you, as a municipal lawyer, to actively follow legal developments and take the necessary initiatives to ensure that the municipality is updated on the laws and regulations that apply. We encourage professional development.

Common Tasks

• Participate with your specialist competence in large multi-year projects.
• Collaborate with other competencies to find solutions for a manager in acute situations.
• Prepare and review governing documents from a legal and holistic perspective.
• Train your colleagues in the municipality within your area of expertise.

Your Competence

You have a law degree/jur.kand. In addition, we see that you have at least three years of work experience in dealing with qualified legal issues. It is advantageous if you have worked with public law and civil law issues such as dispute resolution and litigation, municipal law, administrative law, public access and confidentiality, contract law, school law, social law, tort law, procurement, and property law.
